Graduating from Aalto University, Elina Helenius is a master of textile, color and surface designs.
She has been working both domestically and internationally in this field for more than 25 years. Elina joined the Lapuan Kankurit internal design team in 2018, drawing her inspiration, like many Finnish designers, from nature and striving to create beautiful designs that will remain timeless yet functional.
She was nominated as the Finnish textile artist of the year in 2012 and has received many awards in design competitions. Her designs have been featured in design exhibitions worldwide.
