Björn Dahlström is an internationally known contemporary furniture and industrial designer from Sweden. Björn uses distinct graphics to express simple and functional forms.
He is a most versatile designer, developing a wide variety of products including, furniture, housewares, carpets, toys and even bicycles.
He has worked with many prestigious companies including Cbi, Atlas Copco, Magis and Kasthall.
Dahlstrom has been awarded the Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize for design in 2001. This prize is the largest design prize in the world with an award sum of more than $100K US dollars. It is awarded by the Röhsska Museum with funds from the Torsten Söderberg Foundation. The prize promotes design in the Nordic region.
Björn’s work is featured in many museums including the National Museum in Stockholm and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. He has also established the “Tools” collection for Iittala, featuring pans and casserole dishes designed in collaboration with well-known chefs.
